We use Cosmelan MD – the top level of Cosmelan which allows us to individually customize the levels of lightening ingredients best suited to your needs. Cosmelan MD is designed to treat melasma (pregnancy mask), age spots, sun spots and other pigmentation issues. You are not limited to the use of Cosmelan because of skin type or time of year. Cosmelan is effective for both men and women who suffer from discoloration caused by excess pigmentation the forehead, cheeks, upper lip or neck.
Cosmelan is the answer to dark spots and mottled pigmentation, especially on the face. These discolorations are one of the greatest aesthetic concerns facing men and women today. Instead of covering your face with heavy make-up or foundation, return your skin to its natural tone. The Cosmelan depigmentation treatment is very effective. Only by affecting the skin's melanin (color-producing pigment) formation can a person suffering from brown spots obtain a clearing or blending of their skin.
Cosmelan improves your skin tone in a safe, non-invasive manner. It's very effective for all types of melasma. The procedure is rapid and easy. The product is compatible with all skin types, and the light peeling effect rejuvenates and increases luminosity of the skin. Treatments can start and be used all year round. The process involves a versatile program easily adapted to the needs of each individual patient and is highly effective on Hispanic skins.
The VI Peels offers a safe, effective approach to achieving younger looking skin and provides superior results for all skin types. Two to four VI Peels per year, along with proper home care, reverses sun damage, treats hyper-pigmentation including melasma, acne and acne scarring, aging skin and rosacea. Patients of all ages will benefit from our treatments, from pre-teen acne sufferers to mature patients wanting to reverse the signs of aging.
Unlike some chemical peels, VI treatments are virtually painless, require no skin preconditioning and have minimal downtime. The peels are suitable for the face and body. The VI Peels are practical, affordable and give excellent results within one week. With proper daily care and maintenance treatments, healthy, beautiful skin can be achieved.
Glycolic PeelsGlycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy derived from sugar cane and grapes. It is a natural exfoliant that works by breaking down dead skin cells, which contribute to clogged pores and dull skin. A glycolic peel resurfaces skin and clears away acne-causing oil. Several sessions gradually increases the glow of skin. The process takes about 15 - 20 minutes and can be repeated as often as once a week. The peel can range from gentle to strong depending on the strength applied. There may be some mild stinging during the treatment and over the next few days mild flaking or peeling may or may not occur. Continued treatments using glycolic acid has been shown to help minimize fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.
Salicylic PeelsSalicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid that reduces excess sebum, fights bacteria deep within pores and loosens and removes dead skin. It effectively penetrates sebum filled follicles, cleans out clogged pores and is beneficial for acne vulgaris, enlarged pores, rough and oily skin, and congested skin. It is also effective in treating blackheads and whiteheads. Used regularly, salicylic acid aids in the treatment of acne.
Lactic acid, a derivative of milk, is an alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin to encourage new cell turnover. It improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and also brightens the skin. It is effective in treating acne, blackheads, whiteheads and dry skin. Lactic acid is a great peel for those with dry and sun damaged skin.
If you could remove the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells, you would see just below the surface lies a fresher, younger looking face. That's exactly what Power Peel treatments can do for you. By gently and precisely exfoliating the surface of your skin over a course of sessions, Power Peel treatments whisk away years of dull build-up, revealing brighter, more evenly-toned skin in as little as 4 to 6 treatments.
This process combines microdermabrasion with a light chemical peel, using combination therapy of physical and chemical exfoliation to improve skin texture. Because layers of dead skin cells form a protective covering for bacteria to breed, Power Peels can help in reducing the incidence of break outs. Power Peels are also indicated for the treatment of superficial lines and wrinkles, sun damage, uneven skin tones, superficial scars, acne and acne scarring.
Over four to six appropriately timed treatments, this repeated process stimulates production of a new layer of skin cells, bringing with it an increased level of collagen and elastin, the building blocks of supple healthy skin. This procedure is safe for all skin types, including Asian and African American skin.

Why should I get a chemical peel?
Chemical peels are used as a technique to improve the appearance of the skin. After receiving a peel the new regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Please remember that skin can also be more sensitive to the sun after a peel.
Who is a good candidate for a peel?
Generally fair skinned patients are ideal candidates for chemical peels. However, the Cosmelan and VI Peel are safe and highly effective for all skin types. A free consult will help you decide which facial peel is best for your skin type.
What can I expect after a chemical peel?
Depending on the type of peel, a reaction similar to a sunburn may occur following the procedure. Patients may also see improvement in skin tone and texture. A series of facial peels may be recommended.
Is it necessary for my skin to peel afterwards for procedure to be effective?
No. Even if you do not peel, the solution enters the pores and the patient will see positive effects.
What should I do after my peel?
You may be more sensitive to the sun, so limit sun exposure during treatment and for at least one week afterwards. Always use sun protection for the face of at least SPF 20 or higher.
