Cosmelan Peel
We use  Cosmelan MD – the top level of Cosmelan which allows us to individually customize the levels of lightening ingredients best suited to your needs. Cosmelan MD is designed to treat melasma (pregnancy mask), age spots, sun spots and other pigmentation issues. You are not limited to the use of Cosmelan because of skin type or time of year. Cosmelan is effective for both men and women who suffer from discoloration caused by excess pigmentation the forehead, cheeks, upper lip or neck.

Cosmelan is the answer to dark spots and mottled pigmentation, especially on the face. These discolorations are one of the greatest aesthetic concerns facing men and women today. Instead of covering your face with heavy make-up or foundation, return your skin to its natural tone. The Cosmelan depigmentation treatment is very effective. Only by affecting the skin's melanin (color-producing pigment) formation can a person suffering from brown spots obtain a clearing or blending of their skin.

Cosmelan improves your skin tone in a safe, non-invasive manner. It's very effective for all types of melasma. The procedure is rapid and easy. The product is compatible with all skin types, and the light peeling effect rejuvenates and increases luminosity of the skin. Treatments can start and be used all year round. The process involves a versatile program easily adapted to the needs of each individual patient and is highly effective on Hispanic skins.

Glycolic Peels
The Glycolic Acid Peel is a form of chemical peel which slowly resurfaces the skin and clears away acne-causing oil and toxins. Several sessions gradually increase the natural beauty and glow of your skin. The process takes about 15 or 20 minutes and can be repeated as often as twice a week. The Peels can range from gentle to strong depending on the amount of layers applied and your skin type. There may be some mild stinging during the treatment, and over the next few days, peeling should occur.

Salicylic Acid Peels
Chemical peeling continues to be the gold standard in cosmetic enhancement of facial skin. Chemical peeling of the face has been performed for many years. The ancient Egyptians used particles of alabaster mixed with milk and honey to abrade facial skin to create tightening. In Egypt Cleopatra is said to have bathed in sour milk, while French women have applied fermented wine to their faces to improve the quality of the skin.

Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid and the only member of the beta-hydroxy acid family. Salicylic acid is beneficial for acne vulgaris, enlarged pores, rough and oily skin, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and photoaging.

Power Peel
If you could remove the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells, you would see just below the surface lies a fresher, younger looking face. That's exactly what Power Peel treatments can do for you. By gently and precisely exfoliating the surface of your skin over a course of sessions, Power Peel treatments whisk away years of dull build-up, revealing brighter, more evenly-toned skin in as little as 4 to 6 treatments.

This process combines microdermabrasion with a glycolic or salicylic peel, using combination therapy of physical and chemical exfoliation to improve skin texture. Because layers of dead skin cells form a protective covering for bacteria to breed, Power Peels can help in reducing the incidence of break outs. Power Peels are also indicated for the treatment of superficial lines and wrinkles, sun damage, uneven skin tones, superficial scars, acne and acne scarring.

Over four to six appropriately timed treatments, this repeated process stimulates production of a new layer of skin cells, bringing with it an increased level of collagen and elastin, the building blocks of supple healthy skin. This procedure is safe for all skin types, including Asian and African American skin.

Why should I get a peel?
Chemical peels are used as a technique to improve the appearance of the skin. After receiving a peel the new regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Please remember that skin can also be more sensitive to the sun after a peel.

Who is a good candidate for a peel?

Generally fair skinned patients are ideal candidates for chemical peels. Hispanic skin types will find the Cosmelan Peel highly effective and Asian and African American skin types will find the Power Peel to be safe and effective.  A free consult will help you decide which peel is best for your skin type.

What can I expect after a peel?
Depending on the type of peel, a reaction similar to a sunburn may occur following the procedure. Patients may also see improvement in skin tone and texture. A  series of peels may be recommended.

Is it necessary for my skin to peel afterwards for procedure to be effective?
No. Even if you do not peel, the solution enters the pores and the patient will see positive effects.

What should I do after my peel?
You may be more sensitive to the sun, so limit sun exposure during treatment and for at least one week afterwards. Always use sun protection for the face of at least SPF 20 or higher.
